How do I care for my pet after surgery?

For the next 24 hrs after surgery, your pet may be a bit more tired and have a slight decrease in appetite. Your pet should wear an E-collar or surgery suit for the next 10-14 days to prevent them from licking or chewing their incisions. Pets can open their incision or cause an infection in just a few minutes of incessant licking. Some slight redness and swelling can be expected but if it worsens over time please contact us promptly.
